On January 23, 2021, Hong Bang International University (HIU) organized a seminar “Search for your own cultural identity”. Seminar’s aim is to provide students with important knowledge and cultural values, along with the skills to find and shape their own cultural identity in the period of cultural integration.

The seminar was successful with the participation of more than 300 students of Hong Bang International University along with more than 100 teachers and students from high schools such as Tran Dai Nghia High School, Mac Dinh Chi High School, Gia High School Dinh.

The Seminar not only attracted the attention of Faculty leaders, lecturers and HIU students, but also students from high schools such as Tran Dai Nghia High School, Mac Dinh Chi High School, and Gia Dinh High School.

The seminar was presented by the speaker Assoc.Prof.Dr. Jakob Pastoetter – President of the German Association for Scientific Research on Gender. At the Seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Jakob Pastoetter shared with lecturers and students and students about the concept of culture, the value of national cultural identity, self, the model “Culture under the iceberg” and the self-worth. Vietnam’s national cultural identity as well as the value of national cultural identity in the integration period.

The seminar “Finding one’s own cultural identity” co-organized by the School of International Education, the The Office of Research Affairs and International Relations took place with a unique discussion about cultural identity of yourself among the students of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Jakob Pastoetter. This is also an opportunity to help students understand more about how to position their own cultural identity in the period of globalization.

In the first semester of the school year 2020-2021 , the Office of Research Affairs coordinates with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Social Sciences and International Languages, Faculty of Economics – Management, Faculty of General Studies and other units. The school has organized “Scientific Research” classes for students in Years 6 and 10 of Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School.

The goal of the program is to introduce students to the basic knowledge and evoke students' passion for scientific research while they are still studying in middle and high schools. Through this activity, students will be searched and discovered who have a passion for research to foster, advise and support the implementation of their scientific research projects right from the first stage. Your research results can be used to prepare students for Science and Technology exams for all levels.

With 15 classes of 6th Grade and 14 classes of 10th Grade, the lecturers of Hong Bang International University have imparted basic knowledge on research methods, how to implement a topic / project. such as understanding the role of scientific research in life, understanding the key principles for researching and implementing a science project / topic.

To achieve the above goal, HIU have designed appropriate curriculum and created many activities for students to demonstrate knowledge and creativity in research: students are engaged in implementation. a topic suitable for each level, prepared by themselves and presented to class and instructor's report.

In addition, the classes also help students practice soft skills such as teamwork skills, presentation skills, office software skills, …

The results obtained after more than 4 months of working together showed that many students enjoyed this activity in the lessons and knew how to prepare and present reports … As such, the activity has been rated as a good success in general. Teachers and students said goodbye to each other and make an appointment for the next school year.

Hong Bang International University – Office of Research Affairs organized a tutorial session to implement University-level scientific research project (phase 3) – Dien Bien Phu Campus

On March 10, 2021, at room 18.8 – Dien Bien Phu Campus, Hong Bang International University,  Office of Research Affairs held a training session on the implementation of the School-level scientific research topic for lecturers and staff. This is a quarterly activity of the Office of Research Affairs to help young lecturers understand more about scientific research, the process of implementing school-level scientific research and answer questions related to the implementation of scientific research topics.

On the afternoon of April 23, 2021, under the heavy rain at the beginning of the season, the students of Hong Bang International University were so excited and warmly welcomed “Journey of Education and Technology of the Kingdom. England ” – a double-decker bus ride.

This journey was organized by the British Embassy in Vietnam with the companionship of the NashTech Vietnam Company, the British University Vietnam and the University Council of Wales. The itinerary aims to bring students the most accurate information about UK study programs, degrees and scholarships.

The passengers in the bus trip are Mr. Sam Wood – Deputy Consul General of the United Kingdom in Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Mai Thu Ha – Chevening Scholarship Manager; Mr. Raymond Gordon – President and Rector of British University in Vietnam; Ms. Ton Nu Tuong Vy – former international student received a full Chevening scholarship and has traveled to 14 countries; and MC Nguyen Lam Thao Tam – hot girl IELTS 8.5.

In addition, students were allowed to participate in a small seminar among the guests about more specific information about British education. Mr. Sam Wood shares about the UK university preparatory program (A level / International Foundation / International Year 1 diploma) that students need to attend university in the UK for a period of 3 years and usually. Master is 1 year. At the same time, UK universities also provide 24/7 health and psychological counseling services for international students during pandemic times.
