After more than three years of studying at the Medical Laboratory faculty of Hong Bang International University, the students have begun to go to hospitals in the city for clinical practice. This is a valuable time for them to learn about the actual working environment after graduation.

The Medical Laboratory faculty have contacted some good quality hospitals in the city to send students to practice, such as Thong Nhat, Nguyen Trai, An Binh, Mekong, 30-4, District 5, STO hospital. Each hospital has its own strengths and specialties that will give students more specific knowledge about the clinical laboratory.

The Medical Laboratory faculty will continue to update the situation of students at other hospitals as soon as possible.

After the admission ceremony was held on October 5, 2020, the new students participated in many activities organized by the school to help them get acquainted faster with the university environment. One of the activities was the civic activities at the beginning of the course.

The new students had a significant opening session at the “headquarters” of the faculty. They are very excited to take souvenir photos with members of the faculty.

During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Pham Thi – Head of Medical Laboratory Faculty, gave everyone an astonishing gift. She transformed the song “Beautiful Bamboo” into a song with content specifically for Medical laboratory students. Not only do they admire her folk vocals, but you also enjoy her unique lyrics.

After the solemn ceremony, students can participate in many fun activities such as food stalls, karaoke programs of your choice, visiting practice rooms.

The food stalls are very eye-catching. These are all finished products from lecturers and students studying at the faculty.

New students can eat and drink while enjoying a special music program brought by the lecturers and new students.

At the end of the session, the freshmen were divided into 4 small groups to visit the practice rooms of the 4 departments, where they would spend most of their time studying and sharpening their skills.

                                                                

The first civics session really connected the new students with the lecturers and former students studying at the Faculty. This is a constructive activity to warm up and revive the new students in the first phase of their future 4-year journey. 

Joining the national atmosphere towards Teachers 'Day, on November 19, 2020, the collective of faculty and students of Medical Laboratory Faculty held a cozy and solemn celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day at Dam Sen campus.

Having become a tradition, students have organized many emulation activities since the beginning of November to celebrate the teachers' month. The final year students have entered the contest “Excellent skills” – this is a contest that challenges student's knowledge and career skills comprehensively.

The official ceremony took place at 4:00 p.m. on November 19, 2020, after the speeches and sharing from Assoc.Prof. Dr. Mai Pham Thi were fresh bouquets instead of students' hearts sending to the teachers who took care of them and mentoring them over the years.

An indispensable specialty of the Medical Laboratory Faculty is the welcoming performances performed very professionally.

The
last part of the ceremony was also the part that the students were most waiting
for, which was to announce the prizes of the two contests. The results really
satisfied everyone and were also the driving force for the following
celebrations to be held more thoughtfully and majestic.

Between December 30, 2019 and January 12, 2020, the Faculty of Pharmacy’s Youth League
and student representatives organized the program ” Volunteers in Spring –
Lunar New Year Sharing 2020”.

The program’s fundraising activities sold more than 5000 packets of luck and 300
keychains. Sponsors, faculty lecturers and more than 2000 students in the faculty
were the buyers – they also made contributions for such fundraising.

With more than VND9 million raised, the program organizers brought 21 parcels of present to the needy: 15 ones to families having children with serious illnesses and difficult circumstances, the 6 others to other families in Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City.
