Hong Bang International University and Hoan My Medical Group signed cooperation agreement on training and developing human resources for the health sector on May 20th 2020.

Attending the signing ceremony, representatives on behalf of Hong Bang International University (HIU) were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, President, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Manh Ha, Vice President, and other representatives from the health sectors such as Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Odonto Stomatology, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Medical Laboratory.

The Hoan My Medical Group side, including CEO Ms. Nguyen Thuc Anh, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Tho Tuan Anh – Chairman of Medical Advisory Council and representatives of the Hoan My Hospital branches in provinces, joined the event, together with journal reporters .

The HIU President shared that “Hong Bang International University and Hoan My Medical Group have shared several things in common, though it was such an coincidence. We both have spent 23 years of establishment and development. One side works on saving human lifes while the other trains human resources for life saving . Hoan My Medical Group’s mission is to bring quality healthcare services to the community, our mission is to train high quality human resources for the society. Our majors include Health, Engineering Technology, Business – Management – Law, Social Sciences and International Language, Education; with a variety of education programs provided in Vietnamese or fully English training programs, internationally sanwitch programs to on-site overseas study programs. I believe that HIU alumni from the health sectors working in various positions from technicians to senior leaders at Hoan My Hospital will also feel proud of this signing ceremony”.

Hoan My Medical Group CEO Ms. Nguyen Thuc Anh stated, “In recent years, the need on training high quality health human resources has become more and more important than ever before. Therefore, we hope that the cooperation between Hoan My Medical Group and Hong Bang International University will be more meaningful to both sides. Cooperation between our institutes and the university will jointly train and develop high-quality human resources for Hoan My as well as for Vietnam.”

Under the partnership agreement, the two sides will cooperate on developing important contents, in which training and developing human resources in nursing will be focused.

Hong Bang International University will organize training courses to improve qualifications for teams of nurses, midwives, technicians, medical secretaries of Hoan My International Hospitals system across Vietnam territory. The university will regularly enroll students and train continuous medical courses according to the curriculum approved by the Ministry of Health. In addition, HIU will also send staffs and lecturers to teach and guide practices in Hoan My Medical Group’s hospitals and clinics.

Hoan My Medical Group will receive students from nursing and other disciplines of Hong Bang International University to practice at its hospitals and clinics.

This is an important event which once again affirming the training quality of Hong Bang International University. It also opens up opportunities for medical students, and other students to to practice and work in the system of international clinics and hospitals, modern environment. with many promotion opportunities of Hoan My Medical Group.

With previous strenths in Nursing, Medical Testing Technology, Odonto Stomatology, Pharmacology, Rehabilitation Technology; HIU is going to open more majors namely General Medicine, Oral Health, Midwives in the near future. On August 28th, 2020, a delegation of the Department of Science, Technology and Training, Ministry of Health, led by Mr Pham Van Tac, PhD, Department head, had a working session with Hong Bang International University. The delegation included Department deputy head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Trung, together with leaders and specialists of the Training Management Division.

Hong Bang International University joining representitives included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, President, and leaders of faculties in the health sector and related departments.

After visiting facilities and pre-clinical practice rooms in faculties of the health sector, the delegation highly appreciated the University’s facilities serving for training of medical students. The delegation also discussed on enrollments for school year 2020-2021, opening new majors and and human resource training, conditions to further improve the quality of training within the health sector as well as training and assessments of pre-clinical practice skills.

On August 14, 2020

, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2357 / QD-BGDĐT on August 14th, 2020 on approving for Hong Bang International University (school code: HIU) on train undergraduate degree in Medicine with course code 7720101. The ministrial decision also assigned Hong Bang International University to determine enrollment targets, organize enrollment, train, evaluate learning results and grant diplomas complying with current regulations.

In 2020, Hong Bang International University officially had enrollments for the first course of Medicine. Medical curriculum of Hong Bang International University possesses many outstanding advantages for students to get the best medical education. Students will study with the most advanced facilities and experienced lecturers so as to gain knowledge through learning methods based on a combination of theory and practice. Medical students will also get benefit from the close relationships of Faculty of Medicine  with local and international hospitals, research institutes and public health medical centers, in order to get ready to enter real working environments right after their graduation.

In the academic year 2020-2021, Hong Bang International University will start recruiting undergraduate students for General Medicine according to enrollment methods of the University.
