PRESENTATION CONTEST ABOUT “DIGITAL MARKETING SKILLS” IS NOW OPENING
For the very first time, Hong Bang International University cooperated with ENZ Education Agency and OSLA to organize a contest for all HIU students who are interested in Business and Marketing.
1. ABOUT THE CONTEST AND WORKSHOPS:
The desire of this contest is to create a useful playground for not only applying skills and available knowledge but also an opportunity to communicate and share with international students from New Zealand.
Candidates and conditions:
- All students of Hong Bang International University.
- The entries have never won prizes in similar national and international competitions before.
Contest theme:
How to build ideas for content, marketing messages suitable for current social media platforms, including: keyword analysis, SEO standard keywords for websites, featured content analysis of competitors on Facebook, the ability to find hashtags for Instagram, etc.
Teams can take an example from their own business idea, or choose a company (from Vietnam or from New Zealand) to analyze.
Method of participating for Qualifier (From Nov 05 to Nov 16, 2021):
- Step 1: HIU students will create a team (from 3-4 students). The participating teams will register through the link: https://bom.to/NnViIe : for Judges to advise more teams about their entries.
- Step 2: Each team made a clip introducing the team and sharing ideas on how to build content marketing ideas including keyword research, SEO content, competitor analysis, etc.
Each team will send entries to our email: businessmarketinghsc@gmail.com.
Subject: Fullname_topic. Example: NguyenvanA_beautyproduct. - Step 3: On Nov 17, 2021, Judges will announce the TOP 10 who will continue to the Semi-final.
Workshops sharing between HIU students and AUT students
- Hong Bang IU’s sharing: How to have a great idea: key word finding, SEO content, and competitors’ social media performing
- New Zealand students’ sharing: How to make a great presentation (content, format, English speaking) using tool: Canva, video making
Timeline:
- 18 or 19 Nov 2021: training workshop Top 10 by ENZ
- 27 Nov 2021: AUT University pitching, New Zealand introduction minigame, speech of AUT University
- 28 Nov 2021: 4 teams from HIU presented and presented prizes (1 hour: pitching + 30 minutes : Q&A)
Judges: Ms. Van (OSLA), Mr. Chau (Next Good Things), Representative of ENZ, Representative of AUT University
Method of participating for Semi-final (Nov 23, 2021):
Each team will introduce their ideas in 5 minutes through Video or PowerPoint (Video is preferred) and then answer some questions from Judges. After that, Judges will select the TOP 4 best teams to join the training workshop from ENZ and prepare for Final round. (Training workshops will be scheduled on weekday mornings and notified to the teams)
Method of participating for Final round (Nov 28, 2021):
- The TOP 4 best teams will present and share their ideas and students from New Zealand will present and share how to best present their ideas through tools like Canva, video making.
- Judges will select the best teams to award prizes.
2. ABOUT THE SCORING CRITERIA:
70% comes from the content:
- Creative ideas.
- The idea is to serve the community.
- Bonus for business ideas related to New Zealand (for example, trading Vietnamese specialties in the New Zealand market…), or analyzing ideas and creating marketing content for a brand from New Zealand.
- Ideas are realistic and possible.
- Provide methods of keyword research (using supporting tools: Ahfef, Google adword, Google search suggestions, Google Trends)
- Competitor analysis (Fanpage Karma, Google Keyword Planner)
- Research the target audience (Facebook Group, Quora, Linkedin Group).
30% comes from the presentation (your confidence)
Note :
With the tools corresponding to the steps to brainstorm the content above, Vietnamese students should take an example to analyze a company or business that may be related to New Zealand to practice using the tool to find ideas.
Platforms: Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, Website.
Each team will select up to two platforms to analyze the idea.
3. ABOUT ENZ:
ENZ is New Zealand’s government agency for building international education and they promote New Zealand. They also administer scholarships to support New Zealanders studying overseas particularly in Asia and Latin America.
ENZ works with New Zealand’s diverse education industry, organizations and companies that cover six sectors:
- Schools
- English language providers
- Private Training Establishments (PTEs)
- Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs)
- Universities
- Education services.
4. ABOUT PRIZE STRUCTURE:
- 01 First Prize: 10.000.000VND + ENZ Certificate + 01 Honor Trophy
- 01 Second Prize: 5.000.000VND + ENZ Certificate
- 02 Third Prizes: 3.000.000VND + ENZ Certificate
