After a period of delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hong Bang International University (HIU) held the opening ceremony for the new school year on October 5, 2020. All new HIU students, including those from the Faculty of Medical Laboratory, officially started the new school year in a very enthusiastic welcoming atmosphere.
In front of the “Ship of Knowledge” building is the sentence “I love HIU". This is also a selfie position that attracts students most.
The new students gathered at the Beethoven Hall for the ceremony. They enjoyed exciting songs performed by the HIUZIK club, received congratulations from the HIU President as well as sharings of the lecturers and staff.
With a dynamic school like HIU, every event is an opportunity for students to have fun and express themselves. Therefore, the students who are studying at the school have organized diverse activities such as singing, dancing, food show, experience booths … to introduce HIU culture to new students.
In the experience booths at the ceremony, the Faculty of Medical Laboratory was also present with the items and templates representing the faculty. The new students were very excited to listen to the lecturers of the faculty about the majors where they will get practice in the future.
After participating in the activities at the large hall, the new students of the Faculty met face-to-face with the faculty’s representatives and executives. They got more detailed information on history of the faculty, curriculum, and extracurricular activities.
The opening ceremony for the 2020 school year ended in the excitement of new students. They had a lot of surprise when entering the university environment — completely different from high school, but felt assured thanks to the care and sharing from the lecturers and older students.
