HIU Expands International Cooperation in Russia – Strengthening Vietnam–Russia Education in a New Era
Last week, a delegation from Hong Bang International University (HIU), led by Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, conducted an official visit to the Russian Federation.
This trip is part of HIU’s international cooperation strategy, aiming to promote educational collaboration between Vietnam and Russia in the new development phase.
HIU Meets with the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia
During the visit, the HIU delegation had an official working session with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Russian Federation.
This meeting marked an important milestone, opening new directions for cooperation in science and education between the two nations. The event also aligned with the recent Joint Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia, which designates 2026 as the Year of Science and Education Cooperation.
HIU proposed several practical collaboration initiatives, including:
- Acting as a key connector for Vietnam–Russia educational programs at general, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels.
- Hosting Russian high school students for exchange and study programs within HIU’s international education system.
- Organizing summer camps and cultural–language exchange programs for Russian students in Vietnam.
- Enhancing joint research, expert exchange, and technology transfer in healthcare and public health.
The meeting took place in a spirit of openness and goodwill, helping strengthen Vietnam–Russia educational ties as both countries move toward a new phase of academic and research cooperation.
Strengthening Partnerships with Leading Russian Medical Universities
The HIU delegation also met with top Russian medical and pharmaceutical universities, including Sechenov University — Russia’s oldest and most prestigious medical school — and the Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy.
The two sides discussed potential collaboration areas and achieved promising initial results, such as:
- Implementing student and faculty exchange programs between HIU and Russian partner universities.
- Organizing annual Summer Camp programs (June–July), offering tuition and dormitory fee exemptions for HIU students.
- Strengthening academic connections, expert exchange, and cooperation in pharmacy and health sciences.
These results open new prospects for sustainable cooperation between HIU and Russia’s leading medical universities, while creating more opportunities for HIU students to study, research, and experience international education.
