On behalf of the Faculty of Global Languages and Cultures and the Department of Japanese Language and Culture, we are delighted to welcome three interns from Japan: Taki, Miyu, and Mako. The interns are currently students at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) with different majors.

The purpose of their internship is to experience and share Japanese culture and language with HIU students. Here are some words from the interns:

• Miyu, a charming girl with long hair, shared her first impression of Vietnam: “The weather in Vietnam is hotter than in Japan, but we are gradually adapting. Vietnamese food is delicious! Although this is my first time here, I really enjoy it. The students here are very lovely and friendly.” Miyu also shared that she just bought a bag of Vietnamese guava and enjoyed it.

• Taki, the only boy in the group, shared: “My English is not very good, so I hope to improve it here. I also want to make more friends and learn about Vietnamese culture. If possible, please teach me more Vietnamese!” The Japanese interns will have a one-month internship at HIU. We hope Taki, Miyu, and Mako will have many memorable experiences during their internship at Hong Bang International University.
