Who we are?

Hong Bang International University (HIU) offers a diverse range of majors, programs, and degrees, with the School of Health Sciences leading as a flagship faculty. Currently, HIU provides 40 educational programs taught in Vietnamese, English, and through international partnerships. These programs cover key fields aligned with societal needs, including Health Sciences, Education, Administration and Law, Engineering and Technology, Social Sciences, Global Languages, and Cultures.

In the 2022 academic year, HIU made significant investments to enhance educational quality. Notably, the university inaugurated an Orthodontic Clinic, expanding facilities to include 12 medical practice rooms and 60 practical training rooms for Health Sciences students. Additionally, students benefit from access to cutting-edge technology such as the Anatomage Table—a state-of-the-art tool increasingly adopted by leading universities globally to support anatomy education.

Board of Presidents

Prof Dr. Pham Van Linh
President of HIU

Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and completed a Level II Specialist Program in Gastrointestinal Surgery at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. He also earned a Bachelor's degree in English from Hue University of Education and received his PhD in Medicine from the Vietnam Military Medical Academy. In 2013, he was conferred the academic title of Professor in Medicine.

Prior to his appointment as Rector of Hong Bang International University, Professor Linh accumulated 39 years of experience in the fields of medical education and healthcare management. He has held numerous senior leadership positions, including University Rector, Hospital Director, and Chairman of the University Council at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Professor Linh is the lead and co-author of over 150 scientific publications in national and international medical journals, including nine papers published in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. He has been honored with one national-level award, two ministerial-level awards, and three provincial-level awards for outstanding contributions to science and technology.

Assoc. Prof Dr. Le Khac Cuong
Vice President

Associate Professor Dr. Le Khac Cuong has over 31 years of experience in teaching and academic administration. From 1987 to 2008, he served as Editorial Secretary of Today’s Knowledge magazine under the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

He has held various leadership roles at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM, including Head of Academic Affairs, Head of Vietnamese Studies, and Director of the Center for International Student Services.

In 2017, he was a visiting associate professor in Vietnamese Studies at Paris Diderot University (Paris VII) and INALCO in France.

Since 2018, he has served as Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and International Languages at HIU. He is the author of seven research projects and 24 academic publications in both national and international journals.

Assoc. Prof Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut
Vice President

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in 2011. In 2015, he was conferred the academic title of Associate Professor in Economics by the State Council for Professorship Titles. In 2017, he was appointed to the rank of Senior Lecturer by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

With 27 years of experience in higher education, Associate Professor Nhut has held several key leadership roles, including Vice Rector of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (2015–2020) and Director of the Human Resources Organization Department (B1) of Nguyen Hoang Education Group.

In addition, he has been a member of the Professorship Council at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City during the years 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, and served as Vice Chairman of the Professorship Council at Ba Ria – Vung Tau University in 2021.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan
Vice President

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Danang and a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Hanoi National University of Education, awarded in 2003.

With over 25 years of experience in the field of education, Mr. Tuan has held various leadership positions, including: Head of Admissions at the Center for Foreign Languages, Chief of Office for the AUSP International Cooperation Program, Head of Marketing and Development at the International Education Institute – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and Country Admissions Director for La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia) in Vietnam.

At Nguyen Hoang Education Group (NHG), he has also served as Chief Executive Officer of the iSchool system and Director of the Project and Facilities Management Division.

Ms. Tran Thuy Tram Quyen
Vice President

Ms. Tran Thuy Tram Quyen holds a Master’s degree and has more than 18 years of experience in journalism, media relations, and the implementation of public health communication projects in southern Vietnam. Her work has focused on improving community awareness through strategic outreach and media engagement.

From 2013 to 2017, she served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Southern Region Representative of Suc Khoe & Doi Song (Health & Life Newspaper), the official mouthpiece of the Ministry of Health. She also spent four years working at Nguyen Hoang Education Group as Director of the Marketing and Communications Division.

In 2015, she was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister of Vietnam. She now applies her expertise in media and communications to her leadership role at Hong Bang International University.
