On July 12th, 2022, the Chairman of Hong Bang International University’s Board of Directors (HIU) nominated and officially announced Associate Professor, PhD., Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong, to become the new HIU Vice President – Head of Education and Training’s Dean.
Welcome to Board of Directors and all our University administrators, representatives, and professors of faculties, institutes, and departments.
HIU was honored and privileged to welcome Associate Professor, PhD., Dr. Tran Thi Trung Chien, a Former Member of the Party Central Committee and former Minister of Health. They always accompanied our University on every occasion or ceremony. Besides, we welcomed Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet, Chairman of Nguyen Hoang Education corporation (NHG). In this ceremony, our University also embraced the University’s Chairman’s Board of Directors Professor, Ph.D. Do Manh Cuong; Chancellor Ph.D. Dr. Pham Van Linh; and all our University administrators, representatives, and professors of faculties, institutes, and departments.
What did our University administrators think about our new HIU Vice President.
Associate Professor, PhD., Dr. Tran Thi Trung Chien emotionally asserted: “I hope our Associate Professor, PhD., Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong will use all doctoral devotion and her compassion to support HIU strongly developing, specializing in Healthcare majors. The Medical Healthcare major is currently struggling and needs strong support from the professors to guide, collaborate and inspire all our colleagues. Accordingly, the young generations of HIU will grow and continue to promote HIU’s Medical Healthcare department to become more mighty and sufficiently contribute their talents to the healthcare community.”
Founder NHG, Mr. Hong Quoc Viet, also expressed a message for our new HIU Vice-President, “One year ago, HIU nominated a Chancellor, Professor, PhD., Dr. Pham Van Linh, who was talented and dedicated. Today we have Associate Professor, Ph.D. Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong joined our University administrators, which will increase the development of the School of Health Sciences at HIU. I hope in the new position as Associate Professor, Ph.D. Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong will accomplish her new task with other administrators to build a broader vision and strategy for the modern University.
Biography and work experience of our new HIU Vice President
Beforehand, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong was famous as a “Golden Hand” in Odonto-Stomatology surgery since she is a Chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon organization in Ho Chi Minh city. Earlier, she enrolled in many significant positions: General manager, Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Department in famous hospitals and well-known domestic Universities such as General Manager of Central Dental Hospital HCMC (2006-2013), Head of Plastic Surgery – Maxillofacial Surgery Department in University of Medicine and Pharmacy HCMC (UMP) (2013-2019). Currently, besides the position of Associate Dean of HIU Oral and Maxillofacial Department, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong is also a General Manager of My Thien Oral and Maxillofacial Specialist Private Hospital; Vice President of the Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association.
Associate Professor, Ph.D. Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong is a top maxillofacial plastic surgeon who is dedicated to operating gratis surgeries for countless children with orofacial clefts. With more than 41 years of education experience as a pediatric surgeon in Vietnam, she traveled to over 50 countries to bring back a smile for thousands of children worldwide, collaborating with Operation Smile organization.
Above everything, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong committed wholeheartedly to her career in “planting people,” with all of her passion for educating her students on proficient knowledge, experience, work ethics, and devotion to this occupation.
Chancellor Ph.D. Dr. Pham Van Linh represented all of our University administrators and congratulated our new Vice President. He stated, “HIU’s reputation will become more assertive domestically and internationally with all the efforts of our University administrators, representatives, and professors of faculties, institutes, and departments. In the future, there is a series of activities to celebrate the twenty-fifth Birthday of our University, highlighting a memorable milestone of HIU with many expressive events and occasions.”
During the nomination ceremony, Associate Professor, PhD., Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong stated: “From this moment, beyond the fate of Education for coming generations, my shoulder will have a responsibility for what I have done for the University in the past, present, and the future. I am ambitious to develop a holistic Medical Healthcare department with sincere values, including professionalism, quality, intelligence, and creativity. Hence, I desire to establish a medical team that prioritizes “a good doctor is like an affectionate mother,” and I believe HIU will achieve this goal, a promise is a promise.”

The nomination of a new HIU Vice President Associate Professor, PhD., Dr. Lam Hoai Phuong, who will be responsible for Educating and Training’s Dean, achieved one significant objective. She will work with our staff to prepare for the new HIU orientation, which has profound steps in Medical Healthcare Science. Enhance, her contribution will consolidate our University status and reach the objective of our University to become a top Medical Healthcare Science training division in Vietnam. Remarkably, the occasion of many international students admitted to our Healthcare department in 2022 marked a significant milestone for HIU’s Medical Education in becoming a preferable University for all colleagues around the world.
