On the evening of August 12, 2023, the 2nd “Namaste Vietnam Festival – Welcome to Vietnam” 2023 was officially opened at the Hòa Bình Theater, Ho Chi Minh City.
The festival was organized by the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam – India Friendship Association, under the theme “Solidarity of People, Warm Friendship”.
The opening ceremony was honored to welcome the following distinguished guests:
• Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi – Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City
• Mr. Ho Xuan Lam – Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations.
In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi – Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, affirmed: The “Namaste Vietnam Festival” this time is an important event aimed at connecting and promoting the friendly relations between the two countries of Vietnam and India. The festival promises to bring positive impacts to the fields of trade, tourism and many other fields between the two countries.
In particular, the 2nd “Namaste Vietnam Festival – Welcome to Vietnam” 2023 also attracted the participation of international students from Hong Bang International University (HIU). The students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, enjoy the special traditional Indian art performances, participate in cultural exchange activities and make friends with other international students.
The 2nd “Namaste Vietnam Festival – Welcome to Vietnam” 2023 is a meaningful cultural event, contributing to strengthening the understanding and solidarity between the people of Vietnam and India.
