Since 2002, the Reforestation Project has been implemented and maintained annually in the Can Gio island area. More than 50 students from Hong Bang International University (HIU) and Japan have joined hands to participate in this meaningful project.
The project is supported by professors from Nanzan University, Rissho University, Kanto Gakuin University, Komaba Toho Junior & Senior High School, and Hong Bang International University.
On August 21, 2023, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan – Vice President of HIU, visited Can Gio island to meet with Professor Asano Tetsumi – Nam Du Association (in charge of the Vietnam program) and Mr. Ishihara Shuichi – Deputy Chairman, Teacher of Komaba Toho Junior & Senior High School.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss future cooperation projects between HIU and Japanese partners.
Despite the scorching summer sun, Japanese students and students from the Japanese Language major at HIU, and other volunteers worked together to plant young trees with the common desire to protect the environment of Vietnam.
