In addition to their main task of teaching, the Faculty of Medical Laboratory’s lecturers also focus on scientific research to improve themselves and the faculty.
On April 25, 2019 at the faculty at Campus 2 of Hong Bang International University, a grassroots-level scientific research project was presented for assessment. The project is on frequency of SNP rs8099917 and rs12979860 in gene il28b in patients who were treated for HEPATITIS C at University of Medicine and Pharmacology Ho Chi Minh City Hospital, Facility 2.
The research project was jointly done by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Thi Anh, medical doctor (chief author), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Minh Nga, medical doctor (co-author) and Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh (co-author).
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ha Thi Anh presented the findings in front of the assessment council, lecturers, students of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory, students of the Faculty of Environmental Biology, medical doctors from University of Medicine and Pharmacology Ho Chi Minh City Hospital.
