Images of practicing at the Hospital, class 2016
After more than three years of studying at the Medical Laboratory faculty of Hong Bang…
Role of the medical testing in diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring therapy:
Using modern equipment, medical testing performs analysis of blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and other specimens to detect and provide evidence of the nature and severity of the disease. By consulting the results obtained from the medical laboratory, (more…)
With a particularly important role, the social needs of medical testing are huge: All medical facilities such as clinics, hospitals, medical centers, medical research, or training institutes require a laboratory. The number of Vietnam’s medical centers is big and still growing. So that, a medical laboratory bachelor has a great opportunity to find a job with a high salary. (more…)

There is one thing that is known to be dirty but people cannot carry, is money. In order to know exactly how much microbial contamination of money is, analyzed 4
microbiological criteria: Total aerobic bacteria, Coliforms, E.coli and Staphylococcus aureus over 10 par value in circulation in 2 materials are paper
cotton and polymer on 160 samples, collected at meat and fish stalls at markets of some districts in Ho Chi Minh City.
The status of diabetes mellitus (diabetes) in Vietnam is on the rise, and getting diabetes is getting younger [1]; some of them are students. So we conducted this study to screen for the risk of diabetes and pre-diabetes in students of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science of the Hong Bang International University school year 2017-2018 and evaluates the relationship between BMI and risks for diabetes and pre-diabetes.
Dyslipidemia is often associated with cardiovascular risk, so assessing the level of lipid components, especially Cholesterol (CT) and Triglyceride (TG), are important indicators. The study was conducted on 255 students of the faculty of medical laboratory technology of Hong Bang International University.
Concentrations of CT and TG are quantified on the HUMALYZER 2000, using the AGAPPE reagent.
Stanford University developed a handheld device for the rapid detection of blood ammonia levels.
In the August issue of ACS Sensors, Chu, Kanan, Veltman, and colleagues Natalia Gomez-Ospina and Chun Tsai have published the product of their collaboration: a handheld, portable ammonia detector that – like glucometers used to measure blood sugar – assesses ammonia levels from a finger or earlobe prick.
Brain glucose metabolism and the benefits of aerobic exercise in Alzheimer's disease
Alzheimer’s disease (1906 – Alois Alzheimer), the leading cause of dementia in the elderly, is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by an insidious onset and progressive declines in memory, attention, and language.
Differences in the accumulation of genetic mutations could help predict lifespan, fertility.
According to the University of Utah Health scientists, differences in the rate that genetic mutations accumulate in healthy young adults could help predict the remaining lifespan in both sexes and the remaining years of fertility in women.
The low-carb, high-fat diet increases the presence of gamma-delta T cells in the animals’ lungs, improving a mucus barrier against the virus
Mice fed a ketogenic diet—in which 90 percent of calories come from fat and less than 1 percent from carbohydrates—were less susceptible to the influenza A virus, according to a study published today (November 15) in Science Immunology.
The value of urine biochemical parameters in the prediction of the severity of coronavirus disease 2019
Coronavirus is an RNA virus with an enveloped positive-sense RNA that can grow in epithelial cells and mainly cause respiratory infection, including severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis (AECB) in humans. The SARS-CoV epidemic caused great social panic in 2003 [1].
Some understanding about coronavirus structure
The Corona virus has crossed the species-host barrier and caused fatal pneumonia in humans starting in the 21st century: Corona virus-induced acute respiratory infection syndrome (SARS-CoV)(7, 19) , Middle-East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (44) (MERS-CoV), and SARS-CoV-2(14, 46).
“Dear students,
These extra reading below will give you more knowledge related to your major. They are divided into the following four departments: haematology, biochemistry, microbiology and parasitology. After completing the reading, you may gain more points for your record if you can correctly answer the questions related to the reading. Please send your answers to the email correlating to your department: Hematology: anhltl@hiu.vn ; Biochemistry: trungnv@hiu.vn ; Microbiology: anhntn@hiu.vn ; Parasitology: lanptx@hiu.vn .
Last but not least, please take a moment to recognize the amazing lecturers from the Medical Laboratory Technology of Hong Bang University for preparing the reading and questions."
Aim of the exercise: to learn about some of the
properties of enzymes
Almost all biochemical reactions require
the participation of biological catalysts (biocatalysts), called enzyme
Phospholipids, steroids and fat-soluble vitamins
Aim of the exercise: to isolate phospholipids and study of their composition; to detect certain steroids and vitamins
Carbohydrates
Aim of the reading: to learn about some of the properties of simple and complex sugars.
Students of the Medical Laboratory Faculty are so proud to introduce the history of the establishment and development of the faculty.
Through the creative lens of students, the faculty's facilities and teaching activities are described more clearly and vividly.
