Admission requirements for Medicine, Odonto-Stomatology, and Traditional Medicine majors:

• Students must have achieved Excellent academic performance in Grade 12
  OR a high school graduation GPA of 8.0 or higher (on a 10-point scale).

• The average score of three relevant subjects in Grade 12 must be ≥ 24 points.

• The average GPA across Grades 10, 11, and 12 must be ≥ 24 points in total (based on a 10-point scale per subject per year).

Eligibility Requirements for Admission to Primary Education and Early Childhood Education Programs:

• Applicants must have achieved Excellent academic performance in Grade 12.

• The average score of three relevant subjects in Grade 12 must be ≥ 24 points.

• The combined average GPA across Grades 10, 11, and 12 must be ≥ 24 points (based on a 10-point scale per subject per year).

• In addition, candidates are required to take an aptitude test.

Direct Admission Requirements:

• Applicants will participate in a personal interview with the University Admissions Committee.

• Evaluation will be based on the specific requirements of each academic major and faculty.

• Candidates must complete the online application at: xettuyen.hiu.vn

• For students with an international high school diploma, the direct admission process will be applied.

Aptitude test for Education majors Includes the following components:

• Expressive Reading and Storytelling:
  Candidates will draw a random topic and perform according to the given prompt. Each prompt will be either a story or a poem. (Candidates will have approximately 3 minutes to prepare.)

• Singing:
  Candidates will perform a song of their choice, which can be a popular song or a traditional folk song.
  (Performance may be a cappella or accompanied by additional talents such as dancing, instrumental playing, or dancesport.)

Candidates are kindly requested to take a photo of their Grade 12 full-year academic transcript and send it to HIU via email to complete the admission application for majors that require this academic condition.

To enroll in the English-taught program, students must have an IELTS score of 5.0 or higher.

• For IELTS scores between 4.0 and 5.0: Students are required to complete a 6-month preparatory English course and pass an equivalent proficiency test before starting the main program.
  Tuition fee: 30 million VND per semester.

• For IELTS scores below 4.0: Students must complete a 1-year preparatory English course and pass an equivalent proficiency test before entering the main program.
  Tuition fee: 60 million VND per year.

• If no IELTS certificate is available, students will be required to take HIU’s English placement test.

Students are kindly requested to prepare the enrollment documents for Cohort K25, including:

1. Letter of admission (or official notification of acceptance)

2. Certificate of the 2025 high school graduation exam results

3. Temporary high school graduation certificate (for students graduating in 2025 – notarized copy)

4. Official high school diploma (for students who graduated in 2024 or earlier – notarized copy)

5. High school academic transcript – notarized copies of all pages (Grades 10, 11, and 12)

6. Proof of tuition fee payment (bank transfer receipt or payment slip issued by the Finance – Accounting Department)

7. Birth certificate (notarized copy)

8. National ID card or Citizen ID card (notarized copy)

9. Two 3×4 cm ID photos (white shirt, white background). Please also keep a digital file of the photo for use in issuing your student ID card.

10. Personal background declaration form (as provided by HIU, with official certification from the local authority)

After completing the online application, candidates are kindly requested to prepare the following documents:

• A photocopy of the high school academic transcript

• A photocopy of the national ID card or citizen ID card

• A certified copy of the high school diploma (for candidates who have already graduated)

HIU features a five-star hotel – Sulyna – located right on campus.
HIU is one of the few universities in Vietnam equipped with a fully operational five-star hotel exclusively for student training. The first guest at Sulyna Hotel was Singaporean billionaire Adam Khoo.

During their studies, students will have hands-on training across all key departments, including reception, housekeeping, kitchen, bar, lobby services, and more. Students enrolled in HIU’s health sciences programs will begin clinical practice and internships as early as their second year at over 12 major hospitals, including Thong Nhat Hospital, 30-4 Hospital, Children’s Hospitals 1 and 2, Tu Du Hospital, Hoan My Medical Group, and various international hospitals.
