1. Educational background
Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng graduated with a bachelor degree in History Education from the Faculty of History, University of Education, Hue University, 2003.
In 2005, Mr. Hùng attended an intermediate English course sponsored by Ford Foundation at Hanoi University.
In 2007, Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng finished his master program in Vietnamese History at Dalat University.
In 2008, Mr. Hùng was awarded an Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) and finished further English course at the Australian Center for Education and Training (ACET) funded by ADS in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2009, MA Hùng received a PhD scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Serviec (DAAD) and the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Trining (MOET). In the same year, Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng finished two German language courses at the level of A1 and A2 at the Vietnam-Germany Center at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam) as well as B1 and B2 at the Carl Duisberg Center in Cologne (Germany).

th May 2015, MA Nguyễn Mậu Hùng was a PhD student at the Faculty of Philosophy and Historical Sciences of the Goethe University-Frankfurt am Main and Giessen University, the Federal Republic of Germany.
From May 2016, Mr. Hùng was a PhD student at the University of Sciences, Hue University, and successfully defended his doctoral dissertation majoring in Modern World History on 20
th December 2019.
2. Working experience
Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng was a lecturer at the Department of Vietnamese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Dalat University from December 15, 2003 to March 31, 2015.
From October 15, 2015 to December 30, 2017, Mr. Hùng was a history teacher at Hùng Vương High School, Bố Trạch District, Quảng Bình Province.
In 2018, Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng worked for Honda Thành Ngân Co., Ltd for a short time as a consultant in Đồng Hới City, Quảng Bình Province.
After having left his job as a strategic consultant, Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng focused on scientific research collaborated with a number of both domestic and foreign stakeholders to further develop his academic career to date.

Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng was in charge of several syllabuses during the time he worked as a lecturer at Dalat University (2003-2015). The most frequently asked for lecturing were the following:

- Eastern Civilization (30 periods)
- An introduction to the world history (60 periods)
- World Civilization History (60 periods)
- Vietnamese culture in the Southeast Asian context (45 periods)
- Cultural contacts between Vietnam and the world (60 periods)

- Political institution of modern Vietnam (30 periods)

- Political institution of Modern Japan (45 periods)

During the time of working as a teacher at Hùng Vương High School, Bố Trạch District, Quảng Bình Province (2015-2017), Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng taught History for all grades of 10, 11, 12 and prepared for excellent pupil’s examinations of the grades of 11 and 12.
Additionally, Dr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng has also been a speaker of a wide range of seminars, scientific conferences, and educational programs for years.
4. Research achievement
Dr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng has published more than 130 studies and research works in different Vietnamese and English publishers, journals, and conference proceedings.
5. Research interests
Mr. Nguyễn Mậu Hùng was trained and specialized in Early Modern Vietnamese History and Early Modern World History (especially the nineteenth-century German History), but personally enjoy studying and lecturing some key academic areas of interests as follows:
– Civilization history of Vietnam and the world,
– History of international relations (Vietnam diplomatic history and cultural contacts between Vietnam and the world),
– Economic history of Vietnam and the world (International economic relations and International political relations),
– Education history and History education
