Ms. Nguyen Hanh Tam holds double bachelor degrees from Forein Trade University majoring in International Business; and Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities majoring in English. After a few years working to gain insight into what she wanted to advance in her career, she decided to pursue higher education overseas to support her dream. In 2009, Ms. Tam graduated from RMIT in Australia with a master’s degree in Marketing. Her thesis was “An exploratory research study into the effectiveness of different levels of fear appeal in work safety advertising”.
After graduating, Ms. Tam dedicated her time to raising and homeschooling her children before she took on a role with Commonwealth Bank of Australia for a few years. In 2019, Ms. Tam decided to move back to Vietnam to be with close families. Since then, she has been teaching in Hong Bang University and Greenwich University.
Ms. Tam’s 10-year work experience includes education, advertising, event organization and banking. She has worked in both Vietnam and Australia, from small family business to multi-national corporations. Her research interest is in marketing, especially in advertising. She also has a strong passion for special education and helping disadvantaged learners to be accepted and equal to others.
In her free time, Ms. Tam loves watching movies on Netflix and travelling with her family. She has a great sense of humour, her classes never lack giggles and laughters. She is currently in charge of several courses: Introduction to Marketing, Marketing in Hospitality, Introduction to Event Management, Client in Event Management, and Human Resource in Event Management.
