1. Introduction

After more than 20 years of establishment and development, the Department of Korean Studies, Hong Bang International University is one of the key training professions, always focusing on approaching the training programs of many universities. Reputable colleges at home and abroad; always update the practical needs of enterprises in order to train high-quality human resources, meeting professional and professional standards.

Every year, the Department of Korean Studies enrolls about 50-70 students. After graduation, about 10% of bachelors of the Department continue to study master's at prestigious universities and research institutes at home and abroad; 85% of people entering society have jobs with good income depending on each person's ability and expertise in Korean and Vietnamese enterprises and organizations such as: Union of Friendship Organizations of the City Ho Chi Minh; Korean Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City; Association of Korean Business Organizations (Kocham); Interpreters and interpreters at Korean enterprises; Lecturers teach at Universities, Language Institutes and Korean Language Centers, etc. And many of them, have achieved considerable promotion and position in the place where they are working. Twice a year in Summer semester (July) and Winter semester (December).

II.Content of training program:

Students of Korean Studies will be trained according to the program, including: General knowledge block; Korean knowledge block and specialized knowledge block on Korean studies. In addition, in the training program, there is a rich system of elective subjects associated with the practical requirements in the work required of students after graduation.

The Korean language block has a systematic training program from Beginner to Advanced.

Specialized knowledge block of Korean studies: students are comprehensively trained in knowledge such as history, economy, politics, diplomacy, literature, culture, society, etc.

Communication skills and working in Korean companies.

From 2017, 100% of students in the Department will have access to active and proactive learning methods for a period of 2-3 years in the country and be sent to transfer study at famous universities of Vietnam. Korea such as: Konkuk University; Busan University of Foreign Studies; Chungbuk National University; Seoul Women's University, etc. under the Student Exchange Program for 01 (one) semester.

In addition, between semesters of study in the country, the Department will organize short-term Korean cultural experience courses for students of the Department to learn about culture and practice the language in Korea.

1. Course introduction

Korean Studies is a discipline that equips Korean knowledge and skills to be applied in many fields such as economy, trade, import-export, tourism, etc. The training program for Korean studies is designed on the basis of Chapter training program of Konkuk University, Chungbuk National University, Seoul Women's University.

2. Objectives

– Bachelor of Korean studies is equipped with in-depth background knowledge about Korean language and culture, ability to participate in the domestic, regional and global labor market. In addition to knowledge of Korean culture, country and people, bachelors of Korean Studies can use the Korean language fluently (Topik 4/6) in communication, research, and teaching; capable of translating and interpreting Korean – Vietnamese, Vietnamese – Korean.

– In addition, Korean bachelors also have an English level of IELTS 5.5.

3. Career opportunites

– Bachelor of Korean Studies can work as a Korean translator/interpreter, as an administrative officer, as an office secretary at diplomatic corps and international organizations in Vietnam such as Korea Foundation, KOICA, and as a guide. international travel, teaching Korean…;
